Dutch restaurant

The food was amazing - favorite breakfast I've had in a long time. The service was quick and friendly. The mimosa was bigger than most and delicious. Can't wait to come back next time we're in town!

Incredible food and amazing service. They have a wide variety to choose from their menu, ranging from savory to sweet options. I ordered the Mediterranean and it was outstanding. The balance of flavours blew me away. Also, when they serve you tea or coffee, they give you a complimentary biscuit. The biscuit is delicious delicious available for purchase at the restaurant. There is always a huge line, but the food and experience is definitely worth it!

A great little gem of a storefront, and a great place to fill your tummy. We stopped in for lunch on our way back from camping at Gull Lake and enjoyed every moment.The store has plenty of supplies for camping needs, and also has some specialty items, mainly of ditch origin. Sauces, mixes and unique condiments can be found here.The restaurant portion is a little dated but still maintains its charm. Little interesting trinkets hung on the wall and a very cool clock.The menu has a good selection of food at very reasonable prices. And the portions are very generous. The Dutch items were very tasty, as were the soups and sandwiches.The staff were very friendly, and the facilities are well stocked and clean. There were a few critters flying around due to people forgetting to close the screen door to the outdoor patio however.All in all a very enjoyable experience for our friends and family. A unique location, charming feel, great menu selection and well executed food is what this place is all about. The Wooden Shoe is definitely worth a visit!

Never even knew what this was before I went in but I'm glad I did! They give really good portion sizes!

The freshest, nicest deli with absolutely fantastic deals! Seriously, half the price of the grocery store and way better selection.

Good food. I think it would do better in a nicer, larger location though. A little cramped

I was excited to try this uptown spot after reading about it in Toronto Life. They had a really nice selection of drinks though pricy.The food was unfortunately subpar. While the service was lovely and the drinks were delicious, the food was a complete let down. We ordered the bitterballen, fries and scotch eggs to start. After we tried the charred broccoli and it wasn't quite charred. The tartare was absolutely inedible and I found the chips had a bad texture. Decent ribs I suppose and the carrots were nice. Overall I'd say they need a lot of work on the menu. Not sure I'd return.

Had breakfast here with some friends while passing through town, the waitress was attentive and very friendly, we did have to wait 10 minutes for a table but it was definetly worth it. Everyone got something different and everyone was full and happy when we left. Would definetly recommend!

Went in a group of 4- and the food and service and drinks were all amazing. Tapa style (Dutch cuisine) so better to go in a larger group. Highlights were the chicken liver, fries, hen and ofcourse the beer and the gin with in house tonic water.
